Two years ago, it was announced that Aquaglide and BOTE were merging, Kent Outdoors wanted to put their two kayak brands into one, which has been very successful in the USA. BOTE is very dominant in the States, with bright flashy colours and innovative shapes and designs, the kayak and SUP range is very strong.

However, the demand for a kayak range that delivers performance, practicality, and purpose-built design has led to the resurrection of Aquaglide, now returning for 2026! This is in thanks to an international outcry from kayakers, explorers and adventurers the world over. All thanks to the love for the Blackfoot and Chelan on social media groups… you have won the day!

The new launch will kick off with the return of internationally respected fishing kayak, introducing the newest edition to this iconic line-up, the Blackfoot XF!

Throughout its lifecycle the OG Blackfoot kayak dominated sales worldwide, in both its 130 and 160 models and it’s certainly easy to see why; a versatile angling kayak with plenty of space and attachment points for all sorts of gear, all combined with a high-end Duratex construction providing durability and peak paddling performance. Unfortunately, in 2025 stock levels could no longer meet the continued demand of the customers as the kayak was no longer in production.

This continued demand has proven the need the revive the Aquaglide brand and release a new version of this incredibly successful kayak; the Blackfoot XF! The brand-new Blackfoot XF will still be available in two versions the 130 and 160 models; the 130 remains suitable for 1-2 paddlers, however depending on the amount of fishing gear or additional space required the dedicated 2-person 160 version may be more suitable.

Stockists and International Shipping

The Blackfoot XF is currently exclusive to UK and EU stockists, including Paddle Outlet. Whilst it is not due to be stocked in the USA, at Paddle Outlet we are aware that there remains a strong following for the Blackfoot within the States.

Therefore, we want to make international sales as transparent and straightforward as possible. We will offer the new XF models without any UK VAT or taxes imposed and be as transparent and upfront about any required charges and importation fees prior to the sale.

We understand upfront communication around customs is very important and strive to make this process as clear as possible.

Please be aware the Blackfoot XF kayaks are of Chinese origin. Therefore we advise that you check the current information regarding any duties and tariffs you will be charged upon delivery at point of purchase.

It is important to be aware of the costs of import, as should delivery fail due to a failure of payment, any costs incurred due to a return will be removed from the final refund.

Having stated the above, delivery is very easy to the USA, so long as we have a correct email address and phone number for FedEx (or similar courier), delivery can take less than a week for some US states!
