WHAT SIZE PADDLEBOARD DO I NEED?
When you’re looking at what size paddle board you need there are a few things to take into consideration.
How important is SUP length?
The length of the SUP will vary person to person. If you are shorter you can go for a shorter length SUP, if you are taller, you would go for a longer length SUP.
How important is SUP width?
SUP width is very important and can make your life easier or harder depending on your level. If you’re a beginner then you will want a wider board, something over 33in wide. If you are intermediate you can go for something at 32in wide. Then you get into SUP race territory where the boards are much narrower as they are built for speed.

CAN I ATTACH THINGS TO MY SUP?
Yes, you can buy accessories for your SUP. It depends on the stand up paddle board you have purchased as different brands and designs have different hooks / magnets / attachments that come already incorporated into the SUP, which you can then add to.
Most SUPs come with a leash and a hook on the board where the leash can be attached to. This also goes for SUP seats. Some SUPs will come with rings or loops so you can purchase a SUP seat and add this to your board, so that you can double up as a SUP kayak.
If you want to add to your paddle board and it doesn't come with D-rings, you can purchase these and add them using PVC compatible glue.
You can add a cooler to keep your drinks cold. KULA coolers make the perfect round coolers that attach to the Bote SUPs, and they even double up as a seat.

Frequently asked questions about Paddleboarding?
What exactly is Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP)?
Stand Up Paddleboarding involves standing on a large, buoyant board and using a long paddle to navigate. It is one of the world's fastest-growing watersports because it’s easy to learn, offers a great core workout, and provides a unique "bird's-eye view" of the water. We stock a range of boards from inflatable "all-rounders" to high-performance hardboards.
Do I actually need to stand up on a paddleboard?
Not at all! One of the best things about SUP is its versatility. If the water is choppy, the wind picks up, or you just want a more relaxed session, you can paddle from your knees or even sit down. Many of our boards, like the Spinera Let's Paddle or SupVenture, feature D-rings specifically for clipping on a Kayak Seat. This allows you to transform your board into a "Sit-On-Top" kayak.
What is the best inflatable paddleboard for a complete beginner?
Stability is key when you're starting out. We recommend an "All-Rounder" shape with a wide tail and a thickness of 6 inches. The Spinera Classic and Let's Paddle series are specifically designed for this; they offer a stable platform that makes learning to balance easy, while the High-Density Drop-Stitch (HDDS) construction ensures the board stays rigid.
I have limited storage - which SUP is easiest to transport?
If portability is your top priority, look at "Ultra Light" technology. The Spinera Light series is engineered to be up to 30% lighter than standard boards, with some weighing as little as 6.2kg. These boards fold down much tighter than traditional inflatables, making them perfect for hikers, travellers, or anyone using public transport.
What is the difference between "Single Layer" and "Double Layer" (DLT) boards?
This refers to the outer skin of the board. Single-layer boards (like the Classic) are lighter and more affordable. Double Layer boards, like the Spinera SupVenture series, feature two fused layers of PVC. This makes the board significantly stiffer and more durable, making it the better choice for serious paddlers or heavier riders.
